Michelle and Eric are two architects who love to travel and—in addition to wanting to be intimately surrounded by the people they care about most in the world—they pictured their wedding day to be fueled by adventure and fun. When their plans to get hitched in the wilds of Big Sur got derailed due to last year’s mudslides, they adapted quickly and put together a new plan closer to their home in San Francisco. Moss Beach is a sentimental spot for M + E, so in the spirit of adventure, they road tripped an hour south in a cute VW van and got married in an architecturally stunning cypress grove. I had a blast documenting their love story while we romped through giant fields of mustard, hitchhiked on the highway, and explored the California coast together before ending the evening at Bar Agricole in SF.
